| The site is ideal for hydropower having a good drop over a weir on the river Stour, with a catchment of over 500 square kilometres. However, there were many challenges to be overcome, including site access. The site is frequented by many visitors and has a footpath running right through it. As a result, health and safety were a major concern. |
